In short, what is the Dream Career Group Coaching Program?

We will work together over the course of 4 action-packed months to define the next step in your career. I will then teach you how to market yourself effectively for any job - whether it’s a level up, a different kind of role, or another industry altogether.

Over the course of 12 live, weekly group sessions devoted to helping you define and take the next step in your career. This involves helping you discover your talents, values, skills, and passions as they relate to shifting your career. The goal with this is to discover your zone of genius and uncover your ideal dream job. With this knowledge in hand, you will naturally gain confidence in communicating your abilities and passions and start taking action.

We will then work together to overhaul your resume and cover letter and uplevel your interview and negotiation skills. If we haven't already, at this point, we will be sure to define your transferable skills and experience so that you can feel confident about landing the right job - the one that lights you up. The one that will be the best for the long term.

You will have my support for 4 months. Beyond the live group calls, there will be weekly opportunities to submit your questions so that you are guided every step of the way.

And if the right opportunity doesn’t come along in the 4 months that we are working together - you will have the confidence, the skill set, and the kick-ass resume to land the job when it does!

Tell me more about the Dream Career Program. How is it structured? What will I receive?

• Live Weekly Group Coaching Sessions (12 x 60 Minutes)

  From defining your vision for your career as well as your next move, to deciphering job descriptions, to preparing for interviews and connecting with potential employers - I’ll help you take control and feel confident about navigating every aspect of your career. You will have my support until you land your dream job. These sessions will include clarity work to help you deepen your understanding of your talents, values, motivations, and areas where you want to make an impact as well as tactical job search strategy. 

• Private On-boarding Session with Emilia (1 x 30 minutes)

  To help you hone in on your short term priorities as long as your long-term goals for your career and make sure you get everything you need out of the program.

• Customized Motivation Profile

  Define the exact blend of ingredients you personally need to stay focused, energized, and engaged in a role. With this motivational profile defined, you will be able to ask the right questions to both accurately identify the best opportunities for you and make great decisions in your career.

• The Dream Job Blueprint

  Gain insights and activate clarity on what has and hasn't worked for you in past roles. We will discuss goals for your current role to help you bridge the gap from where you are to where you want to be. You will gain a deeper awareness of what your next role should look like.

• Identifying your Zone of Genius

  With self-assessments and reflection assignments, you’ll gain a better understanding of your strengths and motivators and uncover your “zone of genius.” As a result of gaining this knowledge, you will more easily be able to define what kind of role allows you to be in your element. In addition, you will be able to confidently articulate your unique talents to prospective employers so that you can land your dream job.

• Values Mapping

  We will uncover your top five values and identify what’s vital and meaningful in your life so that you can understand and prioritize your truest desires and most authentic self. 

• You are a Rockstar Resume

  Work collaboratively with me to create a flawless resume so you can feel proud and empowered to send it to your prospective employer, capture their attention immediately, and become the most in demand front-runner for any job you dream of! We will also craft an impressive cover letter that will stand out from the competition.

• Mock Interview Preparation

  You will learn a process that you can replicate for any interview so that you can walk into any interview feeling confident, excited, articulate, and ready to land your dream job.

• 4 Job Application Reviews

  To make sure that you are applying what you learn effectively, I will review 4 job applications to see how you are making tweaks to the resume that we will build together.

• Weekly Support

  You will have expert guidance for your job search. Once a week, you will be able to submit questions about job searching, deciphering job descriptions, responding to prospective employers, negotiating offers, making powerful decisions, and everything in between.

• It’s a 4 month-long program and you will partake in twelve 90 minute sessions, on a weekly basis

• The first half of our sessions will be devoted to your getting clarity on (and being able to articulate) your talents, capabilities, motivations and area of impact

• The second half of our sessions will be devoted to tactical job search support to help you market yourself for the right opportunity

• Essentially, by learning more about yourself, you can chart out a satisfying dream career with specificity

• I believe that your career should be an expression and not a suppression of who you are 

• I love helping people figure out what lights them up, bust through limiting beliefs, and learning to appreciate their unique talents

What are some examples of career coaching clients and how career coaching helped them in their careers?

One client had been working in sales and had done different kinds of jobs through the course of her career. She had a few passions and she didn't know which one to pursue. Through our work together, she discovered that she could combine her passions and decided to pursue a role in digital marketing. She landed a job as a digital marketer and since then, re-hired me in order to help her negotiate a raise and title change which she did, successfully. She secured a 15% raise.

Another client was taking contracts in the non-profit sector and was looking for a job when we started working together. Through our work together, she learned how to powerfully market her skills and experience and successfully prepare for a job interview. She used these new skills to land a contract job at an organization she loved and admired, and then shortly after, with her newfound confidence and skill set, landed a country director role at a different organization.

I worked with a client who is a professional engineer and realized that she was no longer content in her role. She wanted to apply her skills to another industry. We worked collaboratively to set up her resume in a way that would attract roles in a different industry. She landed some interviews but in the end decided to pursue another path altogether. So, she negotiated more hours at her current job in order to help her pursue a new interest.
